Designer in the Spotlight

One of our “new” additions gets the honor of being the first designer in the spotlight.
She is a familiar face in digi land and a sweetheart that lives in my home country. I am happy to have someone to talk german to on our message board :)
And oh – her designs just ROCK!!!

Of course I am talking about Sylvie Wagner aka Sausan Designs.

We asked our Creative Team to pick their favorite products from Sylvie’s store and scrap their little hearts out. Here is what they came up with:

Our girls had a couple of questions for Sylvie – and here are her answers:
Do you still think of designing as a fun hobby, and not work you have to do?
A: Oh sure! It as to be fun otherwise I wouldn’t want to commit myself to designing. It is time consuming but really fun!

Do you devote a certain # of hours each week/day towards designing? Or do you design when inspiration strikes?
A:I am at my computer whenever time allows and definitely when inspiration strikes.
When we are leaving for a longer trip I always carry my sketchbook and some pens with me.

What is your favorite non-scrapping thing to do?
A:Reading books with my kids. Especially Josh loves books and I want him to keep this love for books and the stories inside.

What’s your favorite part about designing?
A:Developing an idea from a sketch of a pattern or a color I love, to a complete kit.

You have such a uniquely beautiful design style. Where do you find your inspiration for your kits?
A: I find inspiration in everything. It can be a song, or a color, flowers or a pattern I love.

Of all the kits/element packs you’ve designed, which one is your favorite?
A:This is really hard to answer as all my products are my “kids”! But to name some it would be Valetino Valentina, which is not in the Catscrap store so far but will be, soon.

Where do you sit while designing? (On a table with a PC or on the couch with a laptop?)
A: On a table with a PC

Are you an organized person or is chaos your middle name?
A:I hate to say it but chaos definitely is my middle name.

Tell us one totally random thing people do not know about you.
A: I was able to speak and understand Polish when I was a child.

If you look up from your screen now – what do you see?
A:The Frog Prince Snow globe that I got from DD as a gift
