Sara, if you could live anywhere in the world where would you choose? by Crystalbella
Hmmm…I would choose to live in Chicago and you’re more than welcome to come with me. Though I also LOVE Seattle, so it’s a tough choice.

Do you have any favorite holiday traditions? by Brenda
Oooh yes! I’m ga-ga for family traditions. We always start the season the weekend after Thanksgiving when we go pick and cut our fresh Christmas tree. We also bake ourselves silly throughout the season and make a gingerbread house. This year we are going to have fun with a little elf magic. It’s also important to us to focus on giving this time of year so we keep a Christmas Jar and sponsor a child in need, buying a special Christmas present for them in hopes of brightening their holiday season. We also love to look at holiday lights.

What is one of your best childhood memories? (have you scrapped it?) by Syrin
Oooh good question. I don’t know if it’s that I’m getting old and my childhood is getting fuzzier, but it’s harder to remember specific moments these days. What I remember most, my best childhood memories seem more like general feelings and memories of time my family spent together at celebrations (birthdays, holidays, bbqs, etc)–talking and eating and laughing and playing games. The whole family together at my grandparents house. Time always seemed to stop still there and I love love loved soaking up time together.

Did you have a career before you had Bugga? If so, what was it? by LizzyFizzy
Well, ish. I have a degree in something I found completely fascinating and wonderful in an idealistic sensibility kind of way, but it’s one that hasn’t been terribly practical: Sociology. And as the military life took us to and fro, it was hard to settle into a career that really utilized my skill set. So I’ve had a hodge podge of “jobs” but never a career. I’ve long dreamed of teaching and someday maybe I’ll dive into that, but for now I’m really happy and blessed to stay home with bugga.

I am just dying to know what your photosecrets are…how do you get them so stunning every single time (except for the obvious thing…that gorgeous girl of yours)?? What camera do you use? by Zenobia
Aww, thank you sweetie! I used a point and shoot until this past May when I finally got my first DSLR. I use a Canon 40d and love love it!

As for processing, I don’t really have a specific process. It varies from page to page because I love to edit to complement the page and I love to fiddle with adjustment layers in photoshop. I guess you could say my basic workflow for any photo is to first defog and then play with curves and levels and color channels. Then I usually edit my photos to complement my page using photo filers, fill layers, and gradient maps. I’m not a big action user but if I’m in a pinch I reach for Sarah Cornish’s actions because they are positively dreamy and quite close to my own style of processing. Only better. LOL! When I got my new camera I also got Lightroom and I’ve had fun playing with it and loved the results. I really would like to spend more time getting familiar with the program because I can see how it would be a HUGE time saver for me.

Sara, do you think I’m pretty? by Peppermint
Yes. Yes I do. p.s can I have your hair? kthnxbai.

Looking through your gorgeous pages past & present. Can you give advice on how to evolve into finding your ones own style; hopefully as beautiful as yours? by Jeannie

Thank you sweetie!!

It’s funny because for a long long time I didn’t really think I had a style. Until I realized that my pages were looking a little one note, lol! And if I were to recall how my style emerged I’d probably have to say that it came from eventually realizing what was most beautiful to ME in scrapping. When I first started scrapping my pages had echoes of my paper scrapping roots. And once I got more comfortable with digi, I started to play a little with style. And I developed “can’t stop adding things to my page” sickness. I still have it, actually. But I realized over time that ultimately I’m drawn to pages with strong and balanced composition and a good use of space and scale. I also love pages that have depth in details. And some journaling. So whenever I scrap a page I find myself naturally working my page to fit that warm fuzzy feeling of balance and details.

But I think that warm fuzzy feeling is different for everyone. I think the key is to find it and be true to it. I’ve come to embrace my “one note” style because it’s what makes my heart sing

How would you describe your scrapping style?
Photo and story centric with strong composition and lots of little details

What’s your favorite layout that you’ve created?
This is an evolving answer. Right now I’m really loving this page:

Is your work area messy or organized? Do you listen to music, or watch tv while you scrap?
Messy, but organized to me. I love to listen to music and scrap late at night.

What’s your favorite color?
I used to be a serene color girl…blues and greens. But ever since I had my DD I can’t seem to get enough of pink.

Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate.

What is your favorite movie?
t’s a Wonderful Life.

Do you have a blog that I could share?
