This month we have a very talented member of our team in the spotlight. Crystal has the unique talent to create stunning layouts with very elegant, straightforward, and classic designs. Her layering skills and element placement have just awed many all over the scrapping community! And just for you, she has kindly answered the questions our CT posed to allow us all to get to know her a little better.

When you start a page, do you usually start with a story, kit, or design? by me
It really depends! In general it usually starts with a kit, but I only use what I know will work for my photos and stories, whether it’s a CT page or a for fun page.

Do you brush your teeth in the morning if no one’s around? by Angela
I actually do! I hate the morning breath taste!

What is your motivation for scrapbooking? Memory keeping, artistic outlet, something else? by Brenda
Mostly memory keeping. I really only do pages because I want to remember the moment, event, etc. but I have found it to be somewhat of an outlet!

Have you ever paper scrapped? by Jeannie
I have never in my life paper scrapped. Way too poor.

Crystal scraps at the speed of light, but I wanna know what’s the fastest time you’ve done a layout? by Lex
I did one in 15 minutes once. for real. It was a lift challenge though so I cannot take full credit. lol

Tell us something embarrassing you do when no one else is looking? by Peppermint
omgosh…hmmm….well, I confess that when no one is around I eat like crazy. It’s really sad really. I hide food around the house even. Explains why I can’t loose weight no doesn’t it, lol

What is your favorite time of the day? by Brenda
My favorite time of day is for sure late night. Like after 12am. It’s really quiet and I know no one will bother me! I just love it and I get soooo much done from like 12-2, lol

When is your favorite time of day to scrap and why? by Annika
I looooove to scrap late at night. I get soo much done because it’s so quiet and I can munch on snacks and no one asks me to share and I can watch whatever I want while I am scrapping. It’s perfection! lol

What is your surefire way to get the creative flow going? by Jeannie
Browsing galleries almost always makes me feel more creative! And a good kit! Sometimes just looking at a good preview/kit gets my wheels turnin’!

What are your top three essential scrap products? by Sara
Essentials are hard for me because I am such a kit scrapper! hmmm…1) A good craft paper. I love basic papers! 2) Anne (with an E) by Creashens 3) Any of Syrin’s Essential Stitches.

What would be your dream dinner party? Who would be your guests (feel free to be delusional with fictional/dead/etc people), what food/drinks would you serve? by Lex
Ooooh! I would meet up with all my online girls!!!!!!! That would be the best! And I would have a Mexican feast because well, I just loooove Mexican food and it would be so much fun to sip margaritas and eat chips and salsa together!

What is something that bothers you if it is not done perfectly?Why is that so? by Peppermint
I am actually totally not a perfectionist on hardly anything….I won’t even redo pages if I notice that I forgot to shadow something. I am a bit of a perfectionist in the kitchen though. Seriously if I think I know what something should taste like and it seems a little bit off I will throw it all out because I can’t stand disappointing food!

What three words do you often say when speaking? by Lex
Three words I say all the time: No, Stop, WHAT?!

What is your favorite layout you’ve created? by Sara
ooooh! That is soooo hard! I quite liked my purple explosion of a page. lol

I didn’t like it at first, but then it totally grew on me…lol

What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done that people have seen you do? by Annika
I say the stupidest things sometimes….which can be totally embarrassing. Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything….I fell going out to the buses in front of my entire school when I was in Middle School. That’s all I can think of. lol

If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do? by Peppermint
hmmm….If I was invisible I would probably follow my husband everywhere! And then I would sneak into some banks. ROFL

What are three things you would never ever do? by Lex
Three things I would never do: Eat strange bugs like Survivor style, go sky diving or something equally not smart! LMBO! and…..go in a submarine. I have major claustrophobia issues.

What kind of photo processing do you do on your photos? by Sara
I do a bunch of random things to my photos. It totally depends! I Looooove to layer up actions though! Sarah’s (my4hens) are fab!

Which is your favorite color and do you wear it often? by Annika
My fave color is pink and I do wear it often!

If you had to change your first name, what name would you choose? by Peppermint
Oh I don’t know about the name thing….lol! I always adored the name Eliza. But I don’t think that fits me that well…I could do like Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. Maybe my life would be more exciting!

oooooh! There are a few I wanna make out with! Off the top of my head I will say Josh Holloway cause I am in a Lost mood!! Can’t wait for it to come back!
