Claire aka Shades of Bliss - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started paper scrapping about 6 or 7 years ago. I could never get very serious about it with little babies and toddlers running around. But I loved looking at the magazines and when CK came out with an article about digital scrapping in December of 2006, I decided to give it a try. I've been hooked on Digital Scrapping since then. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) I've always been fond of my family history and so scrapping is an extension of that. However, through digital scrapping, I have come to realize how much I enjoy being creative and sharing the experience with others. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? I am so inspired by so many different things like other people's work (paperand digital) or a beautiful kit. But my favorite inspiration is my family and my favorite pages are the one's that tell a story about us. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? I am such a slow scrapper, lol. I will have the majority of a design done in about 2 hours, but then I spend at least another 30 minutes to an hour fussing over element placement or element size. I am constantly fidgeting. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I am such a patterned paper addict! I just can not resist a kit with gorgeous paper in it. But frames almost always find their way on my pages. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Wow that is so tough! I am defintely a fan of both Lynne Marie's and Danielle's torn overlays. They are such a staple in my arsenal and have survived every hard-drive purge. However, I have say that I really love just about anything that the designers have come up with from CatScrap! |
