Teeleedee - aka Tara - guest layout designer Gallery Designer Digitals Gallery 2Peas 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started paper scrapping in March 2003 and then I started digital Scrapping in September 2006 after seeing a layout in CK Magazine. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) I've always been a big fan of photos, and what better way to present & preserve those photos than scrapbooking them. I scrap to keep the memories as well as it being a creative outlet. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? I find Inspiration everywhere. Magazines, Internet, labels, you name it, but I do get most of my inspiration from the many digital galleries on line. There are so many talented women out there. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? I can spend 30 minutes to days on a single layout. It all depends on the circumstances. If I have a great idea and the perfect photos and elements it doesn't take long. Sometimes I like to place a few things on a page and if I'm not feeling it, I leave it and come back. Usually after that it comes together. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? My must-haves are solid texture papers, brushes & staples. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? This is a hard question. I like lots of different items for different reasons. I like the variations in the kits at CatScrap. If I have to pick one. I'll pick the A Merry Little Christmas Kit by Birgit. It was one of my first purchases and I'm a sucker for Holiday Kits. I just love the texture paper in this kit. |

Jennieb75 - aka Jennie - guest layout designer Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? For a little more than 2 years now. I got into it when I wanted to do something a little different with my wedding album. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) A little bit of ALL of those reasons. Scrapping is my chance to be creative while preserving family memories (whether it be our wedding, our dog :), or my new niece!) 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? Usually I'm inspired most when looking through other scrapper's galleries... that makes me want to create something immediately! lol I also find design and colour inspiration all around... TV, magazines, store window displays, etc. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? about 1-2 hours 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? alphas... I LOVE alphas! And very realistic looking, touchable elements are a must-have. Saying that though, I really like my LOs to have a paper-scrapped feel to them... so I don't usually create pages that in real-life would be 6 inches deep. :) 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Yikes, tough one! lol One of my first puchases (and one I STILL use all the time) is Birgit's Gralpha... one of the best all-around alphas out there. If I had a 2nd fave it would be any of Syrin's stitching... I use them EVERYwhere! :) |

Crissy - guest layout designer Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started paper scrapping in 1998. I have been Digital Scrapbooking since September of 2005. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) The main reason I scrap is for my family and the memories to have for our family in years to come. It has been a very big creative outlet for me. It can also be theraputic for me to scrap. It has also been a way for me to creatively express myself to others. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? Mainly my photos. I also get inspiration from browsing the galleries, scrapbooking magazines, and ads.. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Depending on how perfect I want the page to be, It can take me anywhere between one hour to one week. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? Staples, Stitching, and frames. I also love textured and wrinkled papers. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? WOW, I love it all! LOL! I especially like Danielle's worn overlays, I can't get enough of those. I also love Syrin's loose stitching and Ida's Doodles. |

Dido- aka Diana - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Blog 1. How long have you been scrapping? since one and half a year.... I started with photobooks then I edited sites, and met with scrapbook. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) first of all the remembrance. To immortalize the memories is a wonderful thing. Then, to express myself. I have never done artistic things before. I was never able to draw it nicely. This is so new thing for me:-) 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? LOL! from my daughter:-) She is my primary inspiration! And the second:-))) And my family. When I see a new kit generally I know what I will make about it! An element or a little thing can gives me an inspiration!!! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? hmm. half an hour:-) no no, between thirty minutes and one hour. Usually, I make an LO so fast. When I have an inspiration it goes easily, when I do not have it, then I can sit there for a very long time. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? ELEMENTS:-) I "never" use papers. I use it just like accessory. I never use background-paper. I always must have stamples, stiching, frames, and something shine:-)))) oh I forgot: FLOWER! I love flowers:-)))) 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? I have two. The first one is: Madame Mim - Birds in a tree. This is my favorite. These flowers and srew... ah.... I always return to it. The other one is: Creashens kits... the afternoon cha kit... have you got it??? You must have! Those trees… OMG! I love it so much! My first, most favorite page ( in national galleries) was prepared from these two kits!! Here is it: http://www.catscrap.com/galleri/showphoto.php?photo=5490&ppuser=392 |

tomkat - aka katina - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started paper scrapping during the summer of '06 and by the fall I was diving into digital. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Though I do enjoy the creative process and want my pages to look as pretty as possible (kinda hard w/ two teenage boys!), I mainly scrap to preserve memories. The pictures and journaling (when included) are what my family most enjoys about my pages, and they're the main reason I began this hobby. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? I generally browse the galleries or look through a magazine when I need a fresh idea. Otherwise, it's usually the photo that inspires me. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? I've been known to complete a page in 30 minutes, but it usually takes a couple of hours. Any longer than that, and I get tired of the whole layout! :) 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? A page never seems complete without a staple somewhere, I always need an alpha for the title, and I usually begin my pages with a solid background. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Oh goodness, that's a hard question! I guess I'd have to say Syrin's Travel in Time kit. It comes with 2 great alphas, some nice brushes, and I love that the kit is so boy-friendly. |

kriscrosby - aka Kristine - guest layout designer Gallery My Scrapbook Art Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? Actively, for about a year and a half. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) First and foremost, I scrap to preserve memories of my family. Secondly, it's one of the ways for me to express myself creatively. I have never been a paper scrapper because I find it too final and intimidating, but I love the fact that I can 'undo' anything in a digital LO. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? Everywhere... magazines, advertisements, wall art, galleries. Lately I've been inspired the most by paper LO's. Go figure! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? I am definitely a very slow scrapper. I am a perfectionist and I find it takes me several 'sittings' to actually finish one LO. Total time for one page is anywhere from a few hours to several days. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I love details, so staples and/or stitches can be found on almost every LO of mine. I also love any photo action I can get my hands on. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? ? Joana Carvalho's eclectic designs are what first caught my eye at Catscrap. To this day, her elements are definitely my favorites. My other Catscrap favorites are Catrine's exlplore solids papers because they are a great background canvas for any LO design. |

Cherpea - aka Cheryl - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery My Scrapbook Art Blog 1. How long have you been scrapping? Seven years now, though I went digital (predominantly) 3 years ago! Because of hybrid scrapping and teaching paper scrapping though I can still justify (well mostly!) the huge mess of paper supplies in my office! 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Well it does help me keep some semblance of sanity, I love how I am able to express myself creatively while still making memories for and with my girls. It has also offered me wonderful opportunities like this and writing articles for New Zealands Scrapping Magazine that literally don't come your way every day... 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? More importantly where don't I? Quite a few pages quite simply pop into my head while I am sleeping... my love of words has created more than a few no photo pages, which I know some struggle with but for me are just as important as pages covered in photos. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Heck that can be anything from 15 minutes if I can find exactly what I am looking for in my stash quickly to days when nothing seems to just work! Usually that's when I "shove" that page aside and start on something new... yeah I have a UFO folder that gets gone back to regularly and sometimes I even manage to finish something off out of it! 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? Textured paper and card, photo and page overlays specially the textured ones! And alphas rock my world! 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Well apart from anything Creashens designs! I would have to say Danielles Worn Photo overlays, I have vol 2 and I have found that is more a case of not using them all the time than finding reasons to use them! What can I say? They would simply have to be the most VERSATILE overlays ever! Creating with them is pure pleasure for me ... definitely gonna have to beg Danielle to create some more soon! |

Sbaird - aka Suzanne - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap 1. How long have you been scrapping? My older sister introduced me to Paper Scrapbooking in the Summer of 1991 by creating my wedding album as a gift to me. Many years later, my husbandencouraged me to go digital and even bought me an Epson 1800 printer to help. Well, I made the change to Digital Scrapbooking in December of 2005, and I have never looked back! Most my paper scrap supplies went up on Ebay. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapbooking has become a way for me to relieve stress. It is a way for me to express my feelings as I tend to keep them all bottled up inside. I love the memories I have created and hope someday my kids will come to appreciate my creations. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? I find my most my inspiration from Digital Scrapbooking Galleries. I love to browse all the galleries I have bookmarked. I go through my favorite each day to see what new layouts have been posted. I also have many designer blogs I frequently visit whose designs I admire. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Even though most my layouts are simple with white space, I spend up to 2 hours on one page. I am always placing elements, removing them, adding more, deleting when it starts to look cluttered and eventually, I get the finish look I want. The hardest part is coming up with a proper title or journaling. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I Love solid neutral color papers, stitching, and staples. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? I am lovin' Syrin's Loose Stitches, Danielle's Worn Photo Overlays, and Lynne-Marie's Tattered overlays. I have used them so much on photos and paper. The are the perfect worn touch to a simple clean layout. |

BridgetL - aka Bridget - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery My Scrapbook Art Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? I made a lame attempt at paper scrapping for several years, with little success. I have been digi scrapping for about 18 months. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Creative art and memories. I'm not very creative, so finding my own style has been difficult for me. The technical side was easy because I'm a "geek" for my job. The creative side of scrapping has been a challenge for me to find my own style. I want to preserve and honor my children's past & present in scrapping. 3. Where do you find inspiration for your layouts? My family. We love to travel and have fun little adventures, and I love scrapping both the mundane and our adventures. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? How much time do you usually spend making a layout? If something really clicks for me, I finish quickly, 30-60 minutes. If I can't finish in that time, I put it aside and come back to it. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? Solid papers with texture are my favorites. I have a harder time using bold patterned papers. And stitches, lots of stitches. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Boy, that's a tough one. I love Danielle's worn photo overlays and Syrin's stitches. Lately I've used Creashen's AsIAm in almost every layout. |

Soblessed - aka Jane - guest layout designer Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery MSA 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started digiscrapping this April after hearing about it on a twin website that I visit. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapping means so many things to me! It started out as a way to unwind in the evenings after tucking my four little monkeys in for the night. I have always felt a need to create, but never found a good way to do it until finding this! Most importantly, I do this for my children. I want these pages to be records of their lives. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? I always find inspiration from Dagmar, Shen, Peppermint, Vinnie Pearce, AmyPunky (Emilie), and Emily Merritt. These are the ladies who fill up my favorites! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Anywhere from an hour to a week! Sometimes I like to let a page sit on my desktop for awhile and add to it slowly. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I love white papers with texture and a touch of grunge. I don't have a great camera, so I love Lightroom presets, photo actions, overlays, or anything else to help out my photos! 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Everything is wonderful!! If I have to choose, I love Scarletheels' Clear Dot Alphas because they work great in so many different layouts and I adore every single kit that Shen (Creashens) has made! One more and then I'll stop.. . Danielle's Worn Photo overlays. Love 'em! |

ratherBscrappin - aka Kenna - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap 1. How long have you been scrapping? digi scrapping for 2 years (my digi-versary was in July 08) and before that, I was a paper scrapper for a little over 6 years. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) I scrap for purely selfish reasons ... it's something I do that's 100% for me! Definitely a creative outlet, also therapeutic and the added bonus is that my children/grandchildren will have something that only I could give them. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? mmm ... hard to pick one scrapper, it's more like a style that inspires me. It's the minimalist scrapper who can with a few papers & elements, strike the right balance and I come away totally wowed! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Now, that I cananswer without hesitation ... hours, days sometimes! I start with my photo, add paper(s), a few elements ( I can spend hours just on my fonts alone), and then I'm literally adding/editing a thousand times before I finally give myself permission to say, enough --- it's done, walk away!! LOL But I LUV the *entire* process! 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? oooh, good question! papers, photo frames, stitches, photo anchors, and a few good grunge or doodle brushes! 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Catrine's frames ... all of them, they are the perfect element to any page, any style, any theme. A *must have* for sure! |

tracyblessedwith2 - aka Tracy - guest layout designer Gallery My Scrapbook Art Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? Not long. I wish I would've discovered it sooner! I started scrapping in January of 2008. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapping for me is a way to preserve memories for my children. I'm a mother of three year old twins and it's important to me to document their lives. Scrapping is also a creative outlet that I never had before. I'm not much of a crafty person so the idea of paper scrapping never appealed to me. However, digital scrapping is right up my alley and can't imagine life without the undo button! 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? Well, I'd have to say that it is a tie between two. Dagmar and Vinnie Pearce are, hands down, my favorites. Their styles are so unique and they are both such an inspiration to me. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Sometimes I can finish a layout in a half an hour. But, that's very rare. Usually it takes me several hours to several days to finish one page. I'm too much of a perfectionist for my own good! 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I love white (or at least neutral), grungy background papers for most of my layouts so I'm always on the look out for new ones. I also love distressing tools and use them on almost every layout I do. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Catrine's Explore Solids(Nature). As I mentioned in #5, I love neutral, grungy papers with a bit of texture. Her papers are amazing! |

Brumm - aka Heidi - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap 1. How long have you been scrapping? I have been scrapping for almost two years now. It started when I get my first child when I needed to make a card. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Oh, definitely memories. I love to create something. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? Oh....difficult questions. The most of catscrap is full of inspired people. Creashens - aka Shen - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Blog 1. How long have you been scrapping? I've always fiddled with traditional scrapping, but never really finished a page... They're all undone. I started digi-scrapping in early 2007 and have been addicted since. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapping is another form of creative art for me being free to do whatever I want to preserve memories. Being a graphic designer for over 10 years, I've always had to create based upon what clients want. So being able to create pages, and pretty much do and use whatever I want, is a great sense of creative freedom you really can't do anywhere else. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? I really can't pick out one scrapper that inspires me the most, but I can pick out a few, and most of them belong on the Catscrap creative team. I love Dagmar's style. Each page is special in its own unique way, and I love each one of them. When asked to be on a CT one time, I was asked the same question, and I said Ranie. What's not to love, each page is perfect, and I think we share some similarities in life. Ultimately, pages with good photography inspires me so it was ksharonk's awesome photographs that first got me hooked on digi-scrapping. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Depends on how much time my little girl lets me! She is the center of my life, so I usually scrap when she's asleep. People who know me know that I can spend as little as 15 minutes on a layout, to days when my mojo disappears. But on average, probably between 1 to 2 hours, not counting the time it takes to edit photographs. That could take longer than time spent on the layout! 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? FPapers with awesome texture and design. I really don't prefer to use elements I wouldn't normally put on an actual non-digital page, but I do rarely cause they're pretty. I love pretty. I'm a girly girl. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Oooh that's a hard one... But if I had to pick, Syrin's stitches and Catrine's papers. They're the best, no one comes close. |

Its a good balance between being a mom and a housewife ;) And its a great way to keep your memories on a gorgeous way! 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? Kellbuckley - aka Kelly - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery MSA 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started scrapping a bit over two years ago. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) consider scrapping a creative outlet that has the wonderful by-product of allowing me to preserve all the wonderful memories I have with my family. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? I have so many that inspire me. One of my most favorite scrappers is Dagmar. She never ceases to amaze me with the composition and emotion in her layouts. I'm always drawn to her layouts in the galleries. I also draw a lot of inspiration from Emily Merritt, Scraptigz, and LelaFleet, as well as some other scrappers such as Chud23 and Dawn (createwings) that scrap in a totally different style from me. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Too many hours, lol! I've been known to scrap a layout in less than a half an hour, but usually it will take me a few hours and I'll sit on it for a day or so to see if I want to tweak anything on it. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? Patterned paper, hands down, as I love making my photos shine on a busy background. I'm also a die hard frame fanatic, and probably could not live without stitches and elements that have a bit of grunge and edginess to them. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? if I had been asked this last month, I would have answered Syrin's loose stitches, as they rock and add instant realism to every layout. But since NSD, when I picked up Catrine's Explore Solids, I have a new love. I've made five layouts to date with them, they are simply THE perfect foundation for a layout. |

KellieP - guest layout designer Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery MSA Blog 1. How long have you been scrapping? I started in June of 2006...so it's right at 2 years! I have been crazy addicted from the start and haven't slowed down yet! I did some paper scrapping/card making for about 2 years prior to that...but once I discovered digi scrapping, I sold all of my stuff on Ebay! 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) For me, scrapping is definitely aboutpreserving memories. I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was 14 and there are just so many things I wish she were here to tell me. I want my kids to have an insight into who their mom was and what we all enjoyed doing together. I also lost a son, Miles, at 3 months and I realize just how important the little moments are. Scrapping Miles' journey has been very therapeutic for me as well! 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? This community is so amazingly talented! I am constantly going through galleries and just oohing and ahhing over layouts! I would have to say that Dagmar takes up the majority of my favorites file. Her layouts are so clean and allow the photos of her beautiful daughter to shine. There is just something so organic about her style! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? It depends on if the kids are awake or not! LOL!! I'd say probably 1-2 hours. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? love realistic papers and elements. I love watching my friends and family run their fingers over my layouts and talk about how real it looks...it's like the ultimate compliment! LOL! I'm really into photography, so I also like anything that helps showcase my photos on my page...interesting frames, photo overlays, etc. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Hmmm...that's a toughie! I'm really loving Joana Carvalho's Rio kit & Catrine, Birgit, and Kate's Come out and Play collab. (but ask me tomorrow and it will probably be a totally different answer...everything is just fabulous!). |

April and May Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery Prima Hybrid Blog 1. How long have you been scrapping? When I was at school I became interested in textiles and after studying for A Levels in Textiles and Design I moved onto a degree course at university in art and textiles with education. I started to make cards whilst I was studying and soon became addicted to all sorts of paper crafts. When I first began teaching I just didn't have the time for crafting but about 5 years ago I started again and I've never looked back. I was a cardmaker to start with and then I discovered scrapping and during the last year I've been mainly concentrating on cards and other prapercrafts. In July of last year I bought and downloaded my first digital kit and now I mainly work in hybrid papercrafts. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Papercrafting for me is a creative outlet, I find it very theraputic and take a great sense of accomplishment fromblooking at a finished creation - it also means that my house is always in a state of paper disaster!! 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? I love the paper creations of Danielle Flanders, Jo Kill and Roree Rumph and also CD Muckosky's hybrid scrapping (it was via her work in Creating Keepsakes Magazine that I first went searching for digital elements). 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? I can spend anywhere between 20 minutes if I know exactly what I'm doing and have already planned it out in my head to two or three hours. I prefer to finish whatever I'm busy with in one sitting because if I put it away to finish on another day I tend to lose my motivation and my train of thought for it. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? Flower elements, stitching and I can't make a card or layout without inked and painted edge actions! 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Only one??!! I love Madam Mim's lace cardstock but my all time favourite kit is Madam Mim's Fish in the Sea kit, I lovethe bright colours and the doens of possibilities for hybrid cards and papercrafts. |

April and May Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery ScrapInStyle 1. How long have you been scrapping? I've been scrapbooking in one form or another since 1997. However, I didn't get "serious" about it until 2000, and digital didn't enter the picture until late 2005. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapping is a lot of things for me. On one hand, it lets me keep a record of what my girls were like at different times in their lives. It also just gives me a chance to sit down and be creative and make things that I'm proud of. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? I'm inspired by so many different scrappers. One that has remained a constant source of inspiration, from back in my (solely) paperscrapping days, is Dagmar. I loved her traditional pages, and now I'm just as drawn to her digital pages. Anna Russell is a simple scrapper that I really like -- her layouts always feature such an interesting use of text and type. My friend Lauren Reid does gorgeous pages too; they are so real and accessible in the topics she chooses. Finally, Kelly Buckley and Emily Merritt are both incredible at using those little clusters of goodies in such new and creative ways. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Layouts usually don't take me more than an hour, if I'm feeling it. If I don't have a clear idea of what I want to do, then I'll often wander over to a website or read some blogs or something like that, which can draw out my creating time to a couple of hours or so. 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I use patterned paper a lot -- as backgrounds, cut out for page elements, that kind of thing. It's something that I still do with my traditional pages, so it has carried over into my digital work. I also hand journal on all my traditional pages, so I use a font of my own handwriting (Daily Birdie) on my digital pages to give me that same look and feel. As for other items, cool alphas are always a draw, as are some type of label or journaling spot. Other than that, it's really wide open -- there's so much great stuff out there, and I hoard it all! :) 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? Ack! What a hard question!!! I'm going to have to say that I love the alphas -- especially the Gralpha and SlimandTrimmed -- both are just so versatile. |

April and May Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Gallery MSA 1. How long have you been scrapping? I have been scrapping since March/April 2007 so just about a year. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Mainly creative art. I have started scrapbooking, being older than the average scrapbooker, my kids are teenagers or young adults and for the memories I already have all my photo albums. I scrap because it is for me a form of art, I love to learn new things and experiment with new techniques and new styles. 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? This is a hard question because many scrappers inspire me. The first scrapper to ever inspire me is Gerarda (Nevache) : it was after discovering her gallery (especially the pages she created for the Ultimate contest) at 2 Peas that I decided to start digital scrapbooking. And the one who is inspiring me right now is VinniePearce. Other scrappers I really admire are She, Jofia, Dawn (createwings), Yvette (AlohaMamma) and Annie Manning (Paint the Moon). And then I have this huge list of scrappers in my favorites, it would take a while to name them all but many are in the Catscraps CT team! 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? Too many hours, lol! I am a very slow scrapper and a perfectionist! I never seem to be finished with a LO, keep adding or editing even when it is already in the galleries! 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I just love elements, all kind of elements : ribbons, flowers, strings, alpha , frames, staples, stitching, buttons, brushes . I love unique and realistic looking elements. 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? I think I own the entire alphs from Catscraps, so I would say my favorite item would be the alpha, but I also love doodles! My Catscraps folder is huge and I have designs from all the designers, they are all very unique and gorgeous. |

April and May Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. How long have you been scrapping? I have been digital scrapping for 2 years. Additionally, I love to alter books and work in mixed media; which I've done for about 8 years. 2. What does scrapping mean to you? (Memories, therapy, creative art?) Scrapping for me is like exercise, reading or cooking is for others; it's how I relax. The benefit is the preservation of memories! 3. Which scrapper inspires you the most, and why? Gerarda (aka Nevache) Her layouts remind me of great music; beautiful composition and heartfelt lyrics. 4. How much time do you usually spend making a layout? It really depends on what I want to express for the photo in scrapping it and where that takes me & the page. Can be 20 min. could be as long as a day. (stepping away and going back) 5. What kind of digital products are must-haves for you? I love a good solid in texture and color. Also I couldn't scrap without AcDSee-I would not have good mojo flow if It was ripping my hair out wondering where that cute little photo corner was on either of my 300+ GB EHD's!! 6. What is your favorite CatScrap item, and why? See this is very tough question. I adore each designers' remarkable talent and product here. I have to say I came in a year or so ago to pick up Catrine's Aged Frames initially, so I will name them. If it wasn't for the Catrine's Aged Frames I would not have known to come and fall in love with the rest!!! |

December and January Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? I started scrapping about two years ago, just after my youngest son was born and we had moved in to our new home. I was without internet for over a month, and had to explore other means of using my laptop. I already had plans to dig into my 2 years old version of Photoshop Elements 3.0, and this gave the time I needed. At the same time I got my Nikon D50 as a present, so things started quite naturally. 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? Well, that varies. Quite often it is a picture or the memory of a situation. In periods of less creativity I often get inspiration from looking in the galleries of my favorite artists. My main reason for scrapping is to preserve memories. I love spending time with my own childhood albums, and hope to give my children the same pleasure. And at the same time I find it relaxes me. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? Most often I start with a picture, or a series of pictures. The next step is finding the best background. When this is done I start looking for frames(I think I always include a frame?) and other embellishments. Most of the time I have a long list of elements I would like to use ready…..At the end I often go back and test out different backgrounds, and I quite often end up using a different one than the one I started with. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? I use a lot of the actions from PhotoBlast (EZActions), especially the Soft, The Goldenrot and the Contra Pop Actions. And I have had Teya’s actions on my wish list for a long time. 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I have until now been sitting in my comfy couch with the laptop in my lap. But now I have just gotten a new bar table in my kitchen and I think this will be my favorite site. I think it will be good for my mouse shoulder as well ; ) 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? Ohhhhffff – Is it possible to give one answer? I think I love absolutely everything. My favorite kit …. Well it might be due to the season but I love Catrine’s Silent Night. Favorite element……I think it must be Syrin’s Silly Flowers and Butterflies. I have not used them much yet, but every time I see them I think that I’ve got to use them soon. And I am totally in love with Syrin’s Santa Alpha and Numbers. And all of Mossa’s grungy backgrounds. 7. Do you have any other hobbies? Ehhhh well – I love doing all kinds of crafty stuff. But do I give my self time? Well, lately I have tried out a few hydride things, but I am not sure it counts as another hobby? And I love photography, of course. |

December and January Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Blog 1. When did you start scrapping? I started paper scrapping 3 years ago, and made 1 page a month for the next year. Then I tried digi scrapping - and when I could make a page a night, I was hooked LOL! 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? Wanting to preserve and document how much my family is loved. And also, colors: seeing color combinations that make me happy, makes my fingers itch to start a page 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? I may go looking for a photo(s) to work with a certain kit or element, but the page is built around the photo, it goes on the canvas first. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? Traci Murphy's drop shadow actions are a must for me, real time savers and I can tweak them then to my hearts content. and i use atomiccupcake inked and chalked edges actions a TON, still. 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? Most often on my bed :) Gotta love a laptop! 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? My first favorites were Ida's doodles- i bought them years ago LOL at a norwegian(?) site that I translated through google to make sure I wasn't paying my life savings away haha! i was thrilled when they opened up catscrap -in English and US dollars! 7. Do you have any other hobbies? If it's a craft, I love it . although I have yet to try Knitting. and I love to cook and bake. |

October and November Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? I started scrapping about six months ago, though the first few months of that I only did about 1-2 lo's a month, lol! Now I've become addicted though, so I scrap more often! 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? Well, I scrap for both the memories I want to preserve, and as a creative outlet. For lo design specifically, I am inspired by colors, adverstisments, photos, and designs. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? I usually start a lo with a design, actually. I like to sit down and have an idea of what I want the page to look like before I start, and coming up with a design is always the hardest part, lol. Then I will pick the photos I think will go well with my idea, and then the paper. The elements are almost always last. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? Right now I downloaded my trial of Ligh troom and I have been addictively using Annie Manning (Paint the Moon Designs) presets for Lightroom. I just LOVE the Chocolate Dream and Vintage one. They are seriously so incredible. 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I sit at my computer desk. I wish I could scrap in bed though, lol. 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? OH man! That is a toughie, lol, I love it all. But if I had to choose, I guess I would say Gralpha. I seriously want to use it on every single lo, lol. It is just the perfect alpha! It goes with any page, and always give it that final touch! 7. Do you have any other hobbies? I am pretty crafty (if I do say so myself, lol)! Currently I'm interested in jewelry making, although I have done knitting, polymer clay work, quilting, sewing, etc. I also love taking photographs, and reading! |

October and November Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? I started paper scrapping in 2000 when my son was born. I switched over to digiscrapping in 2005 thanks to a running buddy of mine. She casually mentioned that her sister-in-law was digital scrapping and had been published in a magazine. After I found out more about it, I was hooked! 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? I love scrapping photos of family so that we will be able to remember our stories and to tell them to future generations. I also love the process of creating a layout and some of my layouts are purely therapeutic. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? I almost always start with the photo that I want to use and work from there. I try to figure out what kind of feeling I want to create in the layout and what it is that I want to say. After that, it's pile on the goodies and rearrange until things start looking good. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? My current favorite actions is Holly's Workflow from her Photographer's Assistant collection. I didn't realize how foggy and dull my photos were before I discovered it. You'd think that there isn't a ton of haze in Colorado, but something is in my photos. :) 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? Our computer armoire is in the corner of the dining room at the front of the house. That's where you will often find me - it is within hearing's reach of most of the house so I don't feel removed from the action. 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? Good question! I hate to be forced to narrow that done, but since you asked it could be Catrine's On the Edge collection, Syrin's loose stitches, Birgit's Gralpha, or Joana's Fish Boy. Ask me tomorrow and it will be something else. :) 7. Do you have any other hobbies? I love photography, reading, and running. Well, I don't love running, but it is a necessity for me! |

October and November Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? I started scrapping in 2003. Surfing the internet for something else I found myself at a site devoted to digital scrapbooking. I already loved using my PC for making cards, was an avid photographer, enjoyed anything crafty and always kept some kind of diary, so this was the perfect match! 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? Things around me - and it can be anything; simply an advertisement, or the way old buildings form an irregular row, sometimes the colors in my garden. And sometimes it's just that one photo, experience or memory, calling to be scrapped. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? Though I'm quite organized and a planner in most things I do, in scrapping I don't have a plan or standard workflow. It just depends on the mood of the day. And along the way my layouts change in many directions - I can skip the photo I started with, just because I love the overall composition or color combination that developed, but not with that particular picture. Guess that's why I'm a slow, very slow scrapper - always moving and changing until it reaches the point that I 'm satisfied. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? I rarely use actions or plugins. Most of the time I use Paintshop, so actions won't work, and I'm too lazy to open Photoshop just for an action. And I like to play by myself, with color settings, blending modes, shadows. 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? When I'm home, I have a room in a corner of the house, with windows at two sides, with a view on our garden and grasslands. It still is a shared room - with DH on the couch watching TV. But in a few months it'll be exclusively my little 'office'...and I love that idea :-) 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? Everything LOL. I'm a qualified overuser of Syrin's stitches, but I'm also in love with Ida's doodles, Catrine's frames and Joana's papers. For me it's not a favorite kit or elements, but the craftmanship and delicate colors that attract. 7. Do you have any other hobbies? If I have any time left :-) I love to walk with my dogs; rebuilding our house is a must but also a hobby; getting dirty in my garden is a perfect way for me to have daily stress flow away. I've always loved reading and playing piano and flute. And though we have a farm and it could be considered 'work', I find a lot of relaxation in working with animals. |

November Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? April 2006 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? My daughter is the main reason i started with this hobby and most of my pages are for her. She is my biggest inspiration. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? Most of the times i start with the photo and then i choose the background and then elements. A few times i see a kit i like and think wow this will be perfect for yhat picture! 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? I didn’t use actions that much before i discovered Teya’s actions here at catscrap. I love them! 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I prefer to sit in the livingroon with the tv on when i’m scrapping:-) 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? This is a though one…. Do i really have to answer this….*lol* I love everything in the catscrap shop, but if i have to choose i will have to say Birgit’s gralpha, Syrin’s stitches and the staples in the giggle kit and Catrine’s aged frames. This adds up to more than one favourite, but these are the things i use again and again… 7. Do you have any other hobbies? Photography of course! And I love to read! I also write a little and i recently started to needlepoint. |

IODSally - aka Sally - guest layout designer August and September Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? I started scrapping around 1999, but really became obsessed with it in 2001 when my oldest daughter was born. I went all digital in December of 2004 and about 6 months ago I decided to enjoy the best of both worlds and I started “hybrid” or “fusion” scrapbooking. 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? That is such a difficult question to answer briefly. I really find inspiration from so many things. Sometimes it’s when I’m browsing my pictures, other times I can be flipping through a magazine and see an awesome ad and then there are times when my kids will do something hilarious and I can’t wait to journal about it. I really, really love the store Anthropology and find that it has influenced my style of late. 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? All of the above, LOL, seriously. I have no rhyme or reason to my methods. 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? I’m not really a creature of habit, when it comes to product and tools, I like to try something new everytime. 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I just moved all my stuff into the playroom, so now it’s the girls playroom, as in 3yo, 6yo and 34 yo girls’ playroom! I have all my tech stuff… puter, R1800, design stuff, and all my paper scrapping stuff in there amongst Dora the explorer and Barbie. 6. What's your fav kit or element from catscrap? I just love the loose stitches that Syrin made, they are sooooo me. I also love anything by Catrine. It amazes me the way you girls achieve a totally “real” look with your schtuffs!! I pretty much love anything in your shop! 7. Do you have any other hobbies? No. LOL, if I did, my husband would never see me. This has taken over my life enough as it is! |

The digi-scrap galleries are filled to the brim with amazing pieces of art, from which I am inspired! 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or special elements? I almost always start with a photo. However, there are times when a paper just screams "scrap with me!" and I have to go on a photo hunt for that perfect image for the paper! 4. Do you have a fav action/plug-in? I love my itty bitty actions! 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I sit at my desk in the family room. Fannie aka Amy - guest layout designer March and April 2007 Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? Nine months, and it has been an awesome journey!!! 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? There’s so much in my life that motivates me. I love my kids and the silly things they do. Sometimes a thought comes winging into my brain that needs expressing. Sometimes I’m just moved by beauty. I just started an art journal, so my thoughts are getting captured faster than I can scrap, and that’s exciting to me! :-) 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or a special element? I usually start with a photo or a concept, and then match up papers and elements from there. I just keep throwing stuff on the page until something clicks and I get a direction and a basic composition. Once that happens, a page usually flies together. 4. Do you have a favourite action, plug-in, or other digital product that is a must-have for you? I LOVE elements, and lately I’ve been using a lot of frames. But my absolute favorite thing is OptikVerve and the way it can change the mood of a photo, and by that, change the entire mood of the page. It’s like magic!! 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? The five of us are in a cozy little apartment right now, so my desk is in the living room. I can watch the kids play, help them with their schoolwork and scrap at the same time! :-) 6. What is your favourite kit or favourite element in the CatScrap shop? I absolutely adore everything here! The creativity just oozes! I use Syrin’s stitches a lot, because no matter the mood or theme on the page, they fit and just look fabulous. But I have to say those Aged Frames by Catrine are SUPER cool! And then there’s all Ida’s doodles, and the alphas and . . . . and . . . . :-) 7. Do you have any other hobbies? I love reading a good spy story. And I’ve also been known to be a voracious knitter. If drinking coffee could be a hobby, I’d be a hobbyist for sure, LOL! It’s my creative juice, and the only way I can stay awake to scrap half the night. |

Lindse aka Karen - guest layout designer Januar and February 2007 Products in the shop Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk Blog 1. When did you start scrapping? First of all, thank you for having me as a guest, I am so thrilled about it! I started scrapping with paper for about 2 years ago..but until now I have only made like 20 layouts! In May 2006 I discovered digiscrapping - and I love it and have now scrapped over 200 layouts digital! It is so much more me :) 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? I often get inspired by the photo itself and the kit I have found to match the photo. But I also love to browse galleries and get inspiration to new techniques and so on. And I am also an addict to scrapping magazines and books - I have tons! 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or a special element? It really varies! If I find the cutest kit I start with that and find a photo to go along (if it doesn´t match I will just make it b/w hehe)! I love papers, so I often buy kits where I can´t resist the papers, but if the elements are unique I am thrilled to build a LO around that element. 4. Do you have a favourite action, plug-in, or other digital product that is a must-have for you? I can´t live without my ink action and I am really happy about my dropshadow actions! 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? I actually lie down and scrap with my laptop! In april this year I had backsurgery for a herniated disc and I still have trouble sitting down for longer periods. So I scrap lying down in the evening in the living room with my hubby right beside me :) 6. What is your favourite kit or favourite element in the CatScrap shop? I first discovered the shop because of Ida´s doodles, which I love! But right now my current favorite is Catrine´s Old flame kit which has the most unique elements in it, and Syrin´s glitter frames! Not to mention Catrine´s journaling papers! I could go on and on! 7. Do you have any other hobbies? I love to read, I love crime and thriller books! And I love to decorate cakes, not making the cake..just decorating it with sugarpaste and so on :) |

Yen - guest layout designer Januar and February 2007 Gallery CatScrap Gallery Digi Shop Talk 1. When did you start scrapping? 10 months now. And I could never imagine my life without it now.. 2. Can you tell us what inspires you to scrap? I find inspirations from everywhere around me. I have a lot of magazines and I love to watch tv so everytime I see something unique, I would jot it down in my notebook..I actually just started this notebook thing a few months ago. And of course the idea to keep my family's memories intact specially that my son is growing up... 3. How do you usually start making a layout, with a photo, a paper or a special element? I don't have a specific thing. It always varies. Like if I love that element, I will check my "to be scrap photos" and look what I can find. Sometimes, I start a page without a photo yet..lol 4. Do you have a favourite action, plug-in, or other digital product that is a must-have for you? I could never dare not put A LOT of elements in my layout. As in NEVER! lol I can put elements anywhere in a page. Brushes is one element that always have a life in my page. And recently, doddles of Ida's are a MUST have! 5. Where do you sit when you are scrapping? In my own computer table. It's in our living room. I love it here because I have my own space. 6. What is your favourite kit or favourite element in the CatScrap shop? What's not to like here? I mean, everything in this store are AMAZING! But as said earlier, I have been drawn to Ida's doodles and I love Syrin's trinkets, its the cutest thing ever! And the Silent Night Papers of Catrine! 7. Do you have any other hobbies? I love to read. But scrapping took a lot of my time so I don't do that always this days. And I've been back to gym for 6 months now. I go there 5 times a week. I'd say, it's my other outlet aside from scrapping. |
